About Cody Wise

Brandon Cody Wise was born in December of 1984 to Stephen and Jackie Wise in Louisiana and raised in a small town not far from New Orleans called Franklinton. Throughout his adolescent years, he attended Bowling Green School in his hometown. Even at a very young age, Cody knew that his lifelong dream was to be an actor, and he discovered his passion for acting and entertaining his family and friends, often by imitating his favorite musicians and actors (most notably the great Elvis Presley). After playing all sports and being named Mr. Bowling Green School and Most Athletic in his graduating class of 2003, Cody briefly attended Southeastern Louisiana in Hammond. After his school days were over, Cody began working as a financial loan officer in 2008. Little did he know that just two years later, he would embark on a journey that he didn't think possible.

In August of 2009, Cody and his family visited Memphis, TN for their annual "Elvis Week" trips. Being a huge fan of the music idol, Cody never really knew much about the professional side of Elvis Tribute Acts, but that all changed the night he purchased tickets and went and watched the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Contest featuring acts from all across the world performing in front of thousands of screaming fans. That night Cody realized something: he wanted to act and sing, and he wanted to do it right away! In December of 2010 after over a year of hard professional training and preparation, Cody put on his first Elvis Tribute show and hasn't looked back since. In his four years of performing, Cody became an Award Winning Tribute Act and has performed throughout the country in cities such as Las Vegas, New York City, Tampa, Memphis, New Orleans and many more, along with accepting a lead role in a local theater production "A Special Valentine Event". In this time, Cody also signed a contract and briefly worked in the Tony Award winning Broadway Musical, the "Million Dollar Quartet". Upon returning home after his brief stint in New York in 2013, Cody went back to work as a bank loan officer and traveling and performing his Elvis Tribute show. Cody has since moved on from the Elvis Tribute Act, but is grateful for the experience and incredible opportunities it led to.

In February of 2015, Cody landed a small featured role in the upcoming film "Elvis & Nixon" directed by Liza Johnson and consisting of an impressive cast and crew, with names such as Kevin Spacey, Michael Shannon, Alex Pettyfer, Ashley Benson and Johnny Knoxville to name a few. It was here that Cody realized right away that film acting was something he definitely wanted to pursue.  Cody has since been furthering his acting and training education under well known acting coaches Dean West, Jim Gleason, Veleka Gray and Christopher Ramage in New Orleans, LA.  Recently, Cody has had lead and supporting roles in feature films and short films such as "The American Crow", "Dead By Christmas", "Broken Branches", "Shutter Stop", "Brothers", "Game On", "Having Fun", "Lightning Run", "Feral", "Afflicted Ones", and "Courage Under Fire". Cody is also Co-writer of the episodic series "Charley's House" in which he also stars as the lovable main character Charley Hanson. In February 2019, Cody and cast members of "Charley's House" were nominated for Best Web Series, Best Actor in an Independent Film, and Best Acting Ensemble at the Los Angeles Film Awards. The series also was recognized as a semifinalist for Best Picture with it's pilot episode. Known for his versatility and range in portraying different characters, Cody is beginning to make his mark in the talent stacked southeast film region known as Hollywood South.

Cody is also very involved in his hometown community theater where he serves as a board member as well as directing the production "Cooking With Gus" and also starring as master con man Bill Starbuck in the theater's recent successful production of "The Rainmaker".

Cody is represented by Fiona Turner of LTA in New Orleans, LA. and Mireille Wilson at Midwest Talent Management, Inc. in Hollywood, CA.
